You deal directly with someone who knows equipment and what it's worth. If photos aren't enough to appraise the equipment, we can come and see it on site.
Everything you need to know before selling your equipment
Selling used equipment comes with its own set of questions. We've gathered the most common answers here about the appraisal, buy-back and transport of your equipment.
01 What types of equipment do you buy?
We buy a wide range of used farm and construction equipment, including tractors (John Deere, Case IH, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Fendt, Deutz-Fahr), excavators, loaders, backhoe loaders, dozers, wheel loaders, snow blowers, harrows, plows, hay balers, seed drills, attachments, buckets, forks, augers, forestry equipment and telehandlers.
If your machine isn't on this list, contact us. We'll quickly let you know whether it meets our buying criteria.
02 How does the appraisal of my equipment work?
The appraisal starts with you sending us a few photos and some information about your equipment: make, model, year, hours and overall condition. This lets us put together an initial estimate of its value.
If we need more details, we may ask for additional photos or videos. For some equipment, an on-site visit may also be needed before we finalize our offer.
03 How long does the appraisal take?
In most cases, we get back to you with an initial appraisal within about 48 hours of receiving the photos and information about your equipment.
If an on-site visit is needed, we'll let you know the expected timeline right away.
04 What is your offer price based on?
The price we offer depends on several factors, including make, model, year, hours, overall condition, included options and current market demand.
We keep a close eye on the market for used tractors, excavators, loaders and other equipment, so our appraisals are realistic and based on current conditions.
05 Do you buy equipment that doesn't run?
Sometimes. It all depends on the type of equipment, its overall condition and the repairs needed.
We assess each case individually to determine whether the equipment qualifies for buy-back.
06 Do you come out to see the equipment?
Yes, when warranted. In many cases, the photos and information you provide are enough for an initial remote appraisal.
For some equipment, an on-site visit may be needed to complete the appraisal and confirm certain details before we make an offer.
07 How does payment work?
Once the offer is accepted and the paperwork is complete, payment is made by bank transfer.
Payment terms are confirmed before the equipment is picked up, so everything is clear from the start.
08 Who takes care of transporting the equipment?
We take care of transporting the equipment. Once the offer is accepted, we arrange pickup with our transport partners and set a date with you that fits your schedule.
09 What documents do I need to provide to sell my equipment?
Required documents vary depending on the type of equipment and your situation. In most cases, we simply ask for proof of ownership and the necessary information to prepare the transaction documents.
Our team will tell you exactly which documents are required for your case to simplify the process.
10 What about GST/QST on the sale?
GST and QST rules vary depending on your situation. When we appraise your equipment, we go over the applicable terms with you so everything is clear before the sale.
11 Do you buy equipment located in the United States?
Yes, some equipment located in the United States may qualify for buy-back. We assess each case based on the type of equipment, its location and cross-border transport requirements.
Contact us to confirm whether your equipment qualifies and what options are available.
12 What happens if I turn down your offer?
Nothing. The appraisal is free and comes with no obligation. If our offer doesn't work for you, you're free to turn it down.
No fees, no pressure and no obligation to sell us your equipment. And if you change your mind in the weeks that follow or the market shifts, just call us back and we'll give you an updated appraisal.
